Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, what we have tested, and what we know is not yet right.
1. Scope
This statement applies to the AgroSys website at the address you are reading it on. It does not apply to the administrator area, which is not intended for public use.
As a private sole trader, AgroSys is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018. We are, however, subject to the duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments, and we intend to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA as far as we reasonably can.
2. What has been checked
- Text contrast. Contrast of text over the home page background video was measured against the brightest frame of the clip. All hero text meets or exceeds the WCAG AA minimum (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text) in that worst case.
- Reduced motion. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, the background video is not loaded or played at all.
-
Keyboard and semantics. Interactive controls in the registration forms are
real buttons and inputs with labels, and they carry
aria-pressedstate where they toggle. Every form field has an associated label. - Zoom and small screens. Pages reflow to a single column and have been checked for horizontal overflow at 375 px width.
- Images. Photographs and the logo have text alternatives. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Touch targets. Primary buttons in mobile layouts are at least 44 px high.
3. Known problems
We are aware of the following, and they are honest limitations rather than an exhaustive list:
- No screen reader testing has been done. The multi-step registration forms move between steps without a page reload, and we have not verified that the change is announced to screen reader users.
- No independent audit. There has been no external accessibility evaluation and no testing with disabled users.
- Error summaries. Validation errors appear in a live region, but the focus is not moved to them, so a screen reader user may not reach them immediately.
- Uploaded certificates. Documents supplied by third parties are stored and served as provided, and we cannot guarantee that a supplier's PDF is accessible.
4. If you have difficulty using this site
You do not have to use the website to register. If any part of it is difficult for you, email info@agrosys.co.uk and we will take your details another way, in whatever format works for you. Tell us what you need and we will do our best to accommodate it.
5. Reporting an accessibility problem
Please report anything that does not work for you to info@agrosys.co.uk. Describe the page and what happened, and we will reply within five working days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you: equalityadvisoryservice.com.
