A chef who got tired of unpredictable produce, and knew how to engineer the fix.

Ten years of NHS enterprise infrastructure, and a restaurant of his own. AgroSys is what happens when those two careers are pointed at the same problem.

The roots of AgroSys are in commercial kitchens. Running service, you learn fast that your food is only ever as good as what arrives at the back door — and what arrived was unpredictable: inconsistent quality, hard-to-source local lines, wilting leaf wrapped in single-use plastic, and waste at every stage.

The parallel career looked nothing like that. Ten years inside the NHS, first maintaining sensitive server environments, then building enterprise software. In systems engineering, volatility is the enemy. You do not leave outcomes to chance — you build architecture that guarantees consistency.

The pivot happened when I realised those two worlds could solve each other’s problems.

AgroSys is not about replacing soil with sterile technology. It is about using intelligent, low-power environmental control and precise hydroponics to let the plant do its best work — then delivering it living, hours from cut, to the pass.

The result is a zero-waste, hyper-local growing system that gives a kitchen exactly the consistency a restaurant owner always wanted, and never got.

AgroSys is in phase one right now, and phase one is R&D. Each phase has to pay for the next — nothing here depends on funding that has not been earned.
